For the first time, Albertina Modern presents the drawings of Damien Hirst, one of the most influential contemporary artists. The exhibition offers fascinating insights into his creative process – from early sketches of the 1980s to works developed alongside his most famous series.
A highlight is Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable, in which Hirst blurs the lines between reality and fiction. The interactive installation Making Beautiful Drawings invites visitors to create their own art using Hirst’s iconic drawing machine.
Also on display: his striking Spin Drawings and selected sculptures showcasing the diversity of his work.
