Medardo Rosso (*1858 in Turin, †1928 in Milan) was a major pioneer of modern art, known for his unconventional sculptures and avant-garde presentations. The mumok is presenting a comprehensive retrospective of his work, featuring around 50 sculptures along with numerous photographs, photo collages, and drawings. The exhibition explores Rosso's innovative, anti-heroic approach and places it in dialogue with works by 50 other artists, including Francis Bacon and Louise Bourgeois, who reflect his influence.
